Discovered in 1907 by at the time unlucky oil drillers and established by
the Budan family as a popular visitor-serving natural artesian mineral hot
springs oasis at the gateway to Avila Beach Port-San Luis Harbor, historic
Avila Hot Springs offers today's visitors cabin camping, RV spaces (dry
and full hook-ups), dry tent camping
and a popular upbeat restaurant named Hoagie's - all just 2 miles from the
beaches and next to the Bob Jones Bike Trail. All year long, Avila's
protected southerly location offers some of the best weather on the
Central Coast.
Come kick back, and beat the heat relaxing in the shade of the palm trees
and ocean
breezes, and enjoy all the funky fun and convenience Avila Hot Springs is
known for, including the old fashioned game arcade, group picnic and bbq
facilities, heated freshwater pool with double slides, hot mineral soaking
pool, Hoagie's restaurant, laundromat and showers, access to bike trails
with close proximity to San Luis Obispo's Cal Poly, wineries, golf
courses, restaurants and shopping.
FRESH WATER HEATED SWIMMING POOL & DOUBLE SLIDE
Avila Hot Springs' large 50' x 100' fresh water pool is heated to
between 82 and 86 degrees year 'round and offers a fun double slide. Lap
swimming is encouraged in the mornings during summer. Lifeguards are on
duty all day. Children under 15 require adult accompaniment.

Daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
and from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
SLIDE HOURS
12 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until June 10th, then daily 12-6
through Summer.
OLD FASHIONED HOT MINERAL SOAKING POOL
Our old-fashioned 20' x 20 ' therapeutic hot mineral soaking pool is
approximately 2 ft. deep and 104 degrees and draws it's constant flow up
from the natural artesian well beneath Avila Hot Springs. (Please note
that children must be 8 years or older to be allowed in the Hot Pool per
Health Department rules.)
MOVIE NIGHTS
Movie nights are a tradition at Avila Hot Springs on Wednesdays and
Saturdays, beginning at dark. Family friendly movies are shown on the
large wall of the Hot Mineral Soaking Pool and can be viewed from within
the Hot Pool, lawn and patio as well.
BEACH CRUISER BIKE RENTALS
We now have beach cruisers available for your cycling pleasure. The Bob
Jones trail is just paces away and leads 2 miles to Avila Beach. Rent one
of the cruisers or have Wave Jammers pick you up and take you down to the
beach area where you can rent bikes, trikkes, and even Jet Skis (Hourly and Guided Tours) and even high speed boat tours.
